Anonymous asked: I have oral herpes, but my boyfriend still doesn't show signs of having it even though I've kissed him on the lips with an outbreak many times. Does this mean he doesn't have it, or is immune to it or something? I'm really just afraid I'll accidentally spread it to him during oral sex.
You should definitely use condoms during oral sex and don’t engage in sexual activity while you have a current sore. It can take a while for someone to show signs, so he may have it even if he doesn’t get coldsores. You have talked to him about you having oral herpes right? As long as you inform him that there is a chance that he could get herpes and you use all the precautions it should be all right.
